How Did You Use Media Technologies In The Construction And Research, Planning And Evaluation Stages?

I used blogger again this year in order to show the progression of my work throughout A2. I documented all of the changes and improvements I made to all of my work and also showed all of the research and planning in which I did and documented this onto my blog to. Throughout the A2 year I saw myself putting more post up than I did in my previous year and also the quantity of work I included on each post, blogger also allowed me to put my evaluation on here to.

  Prezi was a program in which I used throughout my A2 year, however I also had a lot of knowledge regarding this program as I used it throughout my AS year to. Prezi was the program that allowed me to create a presentation for my cover line ideas, it was very easy to use and it set my ideas out in a clear way so that I was able to view them easily. 

 

I used the internet throughout the whole of my A2 and AS year in order to find all of the information for my filming whether it be regarding the trailer or 

Research And Planning: Poster Update

This is my poster up to date, I am yet to include the cast information, productions crew etc. I also need to include the image and make minor changes if and when they occur.

Research And Planning: Magzine Progress

This is the almost complete version of my magazine, all that is needed to be done now is minor changes that may occur and also the image that needs to be put into the magazine.

Research and planning: Trailer - what still needs to be done

Still to film:

• News reader footage to explain disappearance of students
• Montage elements - one shot of student banging to get out whilst figure walks past.
• Close up of hand trying to open a locked door whilst screaming
• Party shots filmed on phones - in classroom, music playing, enjoying/wrecking college, music stops all goes black. screaming
• Footsteps
• High angle on student - can't cope - bloodied
• Running, handheld camera, screaming for help
• Toilet scene - opening doors - anybody there? open 2 doors. shouts on last door.

We plan to film this Monday dinner - and if we don't get it all done then Tuesday dinner for mop up.

Research And Planning: Lesson Progress (Editing)

In today's lesson I have progressed with the editing on the teaser trailer, we have added some breathing to the trailer and also effects to the clips such as a CCTV aspect and an X-Ray view coming from the villains prospective.

This is the extra progress I have made within the magazine, I now need to include the main image on the magazine and add some more text and then the magazine shall be completed.

These are pictures of me and Kyle experimenting with the wine glasses and making sounds with them to include in our film trailer. We also had some kitchen utensils which allowed us to make noises similar to fire noises.

The dripping sound from the tap shall also be present in our trailer and we shall record the sound and include it into the trailer it will be similar to the dripping in the video above.

The sounds that I came across in this trailer are as follows:

Screeching which can also be represented using a wine glass.
Bangs which can be represented through the use of banging objects together
tapping which can also be imitated using objects and tapping them against something.

This is my magazine in which I have now started I shall be progressing on this little bits each lesson as I have to do more work.

This is an Audition of Luke and Wesley these two people have been accepted and will be staring in the filming in which we do due to them showing enthusiasm when it came to the Auditions.

Research And Planning: Extra Poster Research

 

This is the first horror poster in which I looked at due to the fact that I myself will be producing my own horror poster for my film and so looking at this poster will give me ideas on what I am able to put on mine and also the layout that is used. This will then add to the professionalism of my poster, the things in which I shall take into account from this poster that I shall incorporate into my poster are the dark colours that are used in the background as this gives it the horror aspect, the reds that are also used also could indicate death and blood which gives me and idea to incorporate colours that will have meaning to the genre of the poster. The title of the poster is also a complete different colour to the image and is located in the center of the poster and this would be a good thing to incorporate into my poster so that it stands out and people know what my film is called.

 

This poster is yet again similar to the first poster in which I chose to analyse for things in which I am able to incorporate into my poster  and these are the dark colours that are used to show that the poster is advertising a horror film the title of the film is also yet again located in the center of the page in a colour and font that stands out from the rest of the text that is located on the poster to grab the audiences attention. The text located at the bottom of the page that goes over the cast and crew and also the production company would also be a good thing to include on my poster for professionalism.

After listening to our idea the rest of our class mates had to fill in one of these sheets explaining what was good about our trailer and how we could improve on it.
